On the day after Christmas we made a quick cold trip down to Moab to do a few little hikes and enjoy the winter solitude in Arches and Canyonlands. We got an early start on the day and made it to the Tusher Tunnel trail head by noon. The tunnel itself was not much of a hike but definitely a unique feature worth exploring.
We then drove into Arches and worked our way around the park before hiking up to Delicate for sunset.

Monday morning I was up early and on the road to try and get a sunrise shot in the windows section of the park. Unfortunately there was a thick layer of fog that blocked out the sun. After I left the Windows and headed back to the hotel the sky started to clear so I took a few shots of the monoliths near park ave.

I made it back to the hotel around nine and we packed up and headed out to Island in the Sky. We stopped at the visitor center then spent an hour checking out the Schafer Canyon overlooks. Next up was a hike down to False Kiva. As always the views were amazing, we hung out for about an hour shooting photos and just soaking in the dramatic views.

Buzz light-year is the only one that actually touched the wall at False Kiva, the rest of use were jumping from a large rock behind the wall.

After hiking False Kiva we made two quick stops at the Green River overlook and Dead Horse Point.
