Glacier NP 2006
In may 2006 we drove up to Aprils home town Missoula, MT to attend her brothers graduation from the U of M. We stayed one night in Missoula then drove up to the west side of Glacier.
Our first stop in Glacier was to hike Avalanche Gorge and Lake. Not long after we started our hike it became obvious to everyone that I was NOT in a good mood. After all the driving, my fear of bears, and Lanik beginning not to feeling to well was not working any wonders for my attitude on this hike.
Half way up to Avalanche Lake tyler took this photo. Notice I am not very happy…. Moments later Lanik tossed his cookies all over back of my head and neck…… sweet.

After we both got cleaned up we hiked up to Avalanche Lake and took a much needed break.
At this time I was done … I was ready to deviate from our plans to camp and get a hotel and call it a night. The rest of the group camped while we found a hotel and crashed for the night.
Everyone camped in rain while we enjoyed the hotel….

The next morning we all met up and drove to the east side of the park. The “going to the sun road” was closed so we drove the long way around. First stop we made was at St. Mary’s Lake to check out Wild Goose Island.
After our stop at Wild Goose Island we went up the road to Sun Rift Gorge.
Next stop on the tour was Many Glacier.
It was time to head back to our hotel because I was sick yet again. On the way out we saw goats and a mother grizzly with cubs.
We spent the night in the hotel again while rest of the group camped. The next morning I was REALLY sick, April had to stop more then a few times for me as we drove from Glacier to Missoula. We checked into our room in Missoula and I gave up and stayed in bed for the next day in half.
