Moonshine Wash
Moonshine wash is a classic non-tech slot canyon. The narrows section is not nearly as long as Little Wild Horse but this canyon is well worth going out of your way to spend a half day exploring. There is a side entrance to this canyon that will cut of quite a few miles of hiking along the sandy wider areas on moonshine canyon. This is the location of were you can enter from a small side wash.

Pete looking up at the bridge.

Not far after the old sheep bridge the narrows end and the canyon gets wide.

Petes wall ride.

This dry fall and pool leads to the west fork of Moonshine wash. If you would like to head up this direction to check out the old moonshine stills go back up canyon and look out for carined bypass route (38°41′56.25″N, 110°10′50.03″W) on the east side of the canyon. For some reason on this trip we missed the bypass route and just kept hiking down canyon a few miles before we noticed our mistake. Oh well.. next time I guess.

If you have not done Moonshine Wash you definitely need to add this canyon to your must see list. It such a great place, very remote, and well worth your time and effort.
