Crawford Draw
As of the time of this post I have hiked Crawford draw on two different occasions and failed to find the canyon of two previous attempts. Best thing about this canyon is that you can park about 20″ from the slot, This makes Crawford a great canyon in the summer due to almost instant access to the shady slot.
In November 2006 Clint, Dathan, and I drove down to the swell to hike Crawford draw. We arrived at the trail head on a Saturday afternoon and started hiking down canyon. To our displeasure around every corner was a ice covered pot hole, We spent quite a bit of time climbing in and out of the canyon trying to get around the freezing potholes. This is the start of Crawford Draw above this dry fall the wash is only 3′ deep.

Creepy slot
A little Arch where Reid Nelson Draw meets up with Crawford.
So after we poked Crawford for a few hours we found our route to bypass the potholes. We headed back to camp and got ready to return in the morning. We we arrived at Crawford we followed this route to the Charley Holes area and then climbed down into the canyon.

On our second and shorter hike of Crawford Draw was on a 100+ degree day. We parked on the edge of the the canyon and dropped down into the slot.
