Red Pine
lint and I took off early from work to hike up to Red Pine Lake in Little Cottonwood canyon. I have never spent much time hiking in the Cottonwoods but after hiking Red Pine I am going to try and make more of an effort to explore these canyons.

We started up the trail just about 2:30pm, we took a quick break to take some photos at fork for Red and White Pine Lakes.

After hiking 3.5 miles we arrived at Red Pine Lake. We spent about one hour walking around the lake taking photos.

We had planned on hiking up further but the sky was getting dark to so we decided to hike back down. Soon after we started down the trail the rain started to come down.
Less then a mile from the car we came across this Moose on the trail. We waited about 10min for the Moose to move along and allow us to finish up our hike.

We made it back to the car just before 6:30. We had a bit of daylight left so we drove down the canyon and did the short hike to Lisa Falls.
