South Fork / Big Springs
Big Springs has always been on of our favorite after work hikes and a great place for short backpacking trips with the kids. There is a perfect single track trail (great mountain biking) the crosses over the small steam multiple times before reaching Big Springs. We normally turn around at this point but I have used the Big Springs Trail to access the Cascade Saddle. In the fall of 2003 Jeff, Josh, and I hiked from Big Springs up and over the Cascade Saddle and down into Rock Canyon .
