Saturday morning we packed up camp and made our way over to Arches National Park. The trail was packed with tourists and the boys were great hikers.

Next stop was Sand Dune Arch, our boys love this Arch so much that not playing here for at least an hour would break their hearts. I really enjoy sitting in the shady slot watching them become one with the sand.

Whitney and I got the boys cleaned up and fed them lunch then made our way over to the Devils Garden area. To my surprise the “campground full” sign was not up so we inquired within and found out that site 46 (the best site in the entire campground) was vacant. Typically I hate campgrounds especially in national parks but the Devils campground is awesome. We set up our camp while the kids played in our private slot canyon then drove into Moab to hike Millcreek and do a little swimming.

Again that night I shot plenty of star shots and a few star trails.

Sunday morning I was up bright and early ready to shoot sunrise. I set up on a large sandstone fin just south of the campground where I sat back relaxed and watched a spectacular sunrise.

We packed up and drove out of Arches and made our way towards home. We made a quick stop on Soldier Summit to snap a few photos of some colorful Aspens.
